The newly designed frame on the latest versions of the Synkro cultivator helps to reduce the overall weight of the 5m folding model by around 250kg.

Also available as 3 and 4m folding models, and 2.5 and 3m ridged mounted widths, the universal cultivators are said to be ideal for mid-sized 300-400ha family farms with smaller fields.

The Synkro’s wide ranging flexibility allows it to cultivate stubbles, work at deeper depths (down to 30cm) in the autumn, incorporate root and cover crops and prepare seedbeds in the spring.

Depth wheels are a new option for the two rigid models. Integrated within the frame, these are said to ensure a consistent working depth, particularly on rough ground and undulating fields.

When the depth wheels are fitted, the rear roller can be removed from both rigid and folding versions. Working without it is said to result in a loose, non-consolidated soil structure, making it ideal for primary tillage in autumn and for farms working without a plough. It is also possible to change the position of the roller to bring the weight closer to the tractor.

Other options on hydraulically folding models include four parking stands. These allow the machines to be stowed safely in the folded position to save space. With horizontal springs and a triggering pressure of 550kg, the Nova mechanical stone protection system is now maintenance-free.

A 200hp tractor is recommended for the 4m model. Minimum power requirement for the 5m width is 250hp.
