Agroma UK has broadened its line of specialist sprayers with two new grassland machines.

The 1,000-litre SM10.12 has a 12m hydraulic folding suspended boom, the triplet nozzle bodies allowing for quick changes for different jobs and products. The spec includes an induction hopper for ground-level addition of chemicals, and a separate clean water tank for post-work internal sprayer washing.

The standard controller is an Arag Delta 70t, although it can also be controlled via an ISObus terminal. For spot applications and/or prescription work, a NovAtel Smart2 antenna can be used for GPS-based application switching using Arag Seletron electronic individual nozzle switching to spray only where necessary. Available from AS Communications, a PerPlant sensor can also be added for identification of weeds such as thistles, docks and – in the near future – ragwort.

While targeted at those seeking a sprayer for pasture maintenance, the 500-litre Z3-500 has a lot of tech commonly found on larger sprayers, including three-way spray control with balanced return, pressure regulation, pressure filter and master valve.

Equipped with a 6m manual-folding boom with single nozzle bodies, supplied by a 75l/min pump, both the chassis and boom are powder-coated, and the sprayer has a hand-wash tank and a clothing locker.

Agroma UK is joint venture announced earlier this year between Greek sprayer manufacturer Agroma and Knight Farm Machinery:
