The striking ‘Ghost’ paintwork on the Massey 7718S in the centre of this picture commemorates the 50th anniversary of Japanese tractor and farm machinery dealer MSK Farm Machinery joining the Mitsubishi Corporation. This is the only one, although there are limited edition ‘Soul red’ versions of 64 other Massey tractors.

The paintwork on the Ghost tractor was applied using the grinding tattoo technique. The headlight housing, body, rear fenders, roof and mirrors, are finished in a candy red metallic and the Massey Ferguson logo on the front of the bonnet is encased with LEDs. We are not surprised to learn that the stunning tractor was sold as soon as it was announced.

Like the Ghost version, the other 64 Massey tractors (5713S, 7718S, 7720S and 7726S) are only available in Japan. The paintwork is ‘Soul red’ metallic. Different colours are used for the bonnet decals and the headlight housing is finished in black chrome. The wheels are painted in gold metallic and the rim stripe represents the colours of the French flag.

MSK, which was previously known as Tokyu Motor Co, has sold Massey Ferguson tractors for 68 years and is the sole importer for the Japanese market. It is also exclusive dealer for Fendt tractors and Claas self-propelled forage and combine harvesters. Other European brands the Japanese dealer handles include Holmer, Kuhn, McHale and Tong Engineering.
