The Zoomlion 9DX is one of the show stoppers at this week’s CIAME (International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition), in Tianjin, China.

Claimed as the world’s most powerful tractor it produces a peak power of 1600hp. Peak torque is 7200Nm and the tractor reaches a top speed of 40km/hr and hydraulic output is 636l/min.

Developed to fill the gap in domestic ultra-high-horsepower tractors, and break the long-standing monopoly of foreign brands, the tractor bemouth is designed to pull ultra-wide seeders and the largest cultivators.

At this stage, there are no price or availability details. Also, while we cannot be certain, the hybrid CVT technology is probably similar to that used in the 1,200hp hybrid articulated Zoomlion DX7004 launched one year ago. This uses a 700hp diesel engine. The other 500hp comes from electric motors in the hybrid powertrain.
