The details are limited but Chinese manufacturer Lovol has unveiled the E4104-8H, a 410hp diesel-electric hybrid.

Previewed at the Xinjiang International Agricultural Machinery Expo, the Lovol claims it is 30% more efficient than all other comparable tractors and brings next-level power and intelligence to the field.

Following on from the recent introduction of the Lovol E3404-8H (340hp) hybrid, the E4104-8H marks one of the company’s most ambitious entries into the high horsepower tractor segment.

ECVT technology in the Lovol E3404-8H enables stepless gear shifting from 0-40km/hr. Compared to traditional hybrid routes, transmission efficiency is said to be improved by over 10% and fuel consumption reduced by about 20%.

Combining hybrid powertrain technology, electronic drive controls, and an ECVT, the result is designed to improve transmission efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and optimise power delivery during heavy draft work.

Other information, such as the size of the engine, electric motor output and battery capacity, are not yet available.
