Malpas Tractors has been added to the Valtra UK dealer network. Although Malpas has six depots, this announcement only relates to the Lancashire region which it will look after from its branches at Lathom and Condor Green.

This does not impact other areas such as Cheshire and North Wales where long-standing Valtra dealer John Bownes holds the franchise.

“Malpas is a long-established family company in the agricultural machinery business in the northwest of England and looks forward to continued success growing the Valtra market share in this region,” comments Alan Sanderson, national sales manager, Valtra UK & Ireland.

Malpas Tractors, a family-owned business run by Rachael, Edward and Paul Reeves (managing director and pictured above), will offer the full range of Valtra tractors from 75 to 400hp, along with a comprehensive service and parts back up.

“Being farmers ourselves, we have long recognised the needs of our customers who want reliability, durability, productivity, and technical innovation from the equipment they use to meet the challenges of modern-day farming,” commented Paul.

Current franchises handled by Malpas include Kuhn, Grimme, Merlo, Trimble Guidance, Sumo, Richard Western, Hi-Spec, Shelbourne Reynolds, Bunning and Can Am. “By adding the market leading Valtra product range, our whole market offering will be among the very best available in the UK,” added Paul.

The new Malpas patch had previously been handled by Clarke and Pulman but they relinquished the Valtra franchise to focus on its other brands, namely JCB, Fendt and Massey Ferguson.

There has been speculation for over a year as to which direction Malpas Tractors would take when it was announced that it was losing the New Holland franchise to former John Deere franchise holder Rea Valley Tractors. It will be interesting to see what the other Malpas Tractor branches will be selling in the future but a statement to customers said other announcements will be following shortly.
