Just 4,869 new 50hp+ tractors were registered in the UK in the first six months of this year.
17% fewer than the 5,882 units recorded from January to June 2024 and 25% below average, this year’s figure is the lowest level recorded by this point in the year since 1998.
After a poor first three months (see link at bottom), there was no improvement in April when registrations fell by almost 15% to just 986 units. The slow start to the year continued in May when just 803 machines were logged – 17% fewer than in the same month in 2024.
The monthly total of 852 machines in June was only 2.0% lower than the number recorded in the same month in 2024. However, it was only around three-quarters of the average number registered in June over the previous five years. Source: AEA
