This year marks 60 years of continuous production at the New Holland tractor plant in Basildon, Essex.

And as part of the commemoration, the company is looking to collect any memories (written, photographic or video) the broad farming community has of the plant, its products and impact over the course of the decades.

The firm is keen to hear from former employees, suppliers and farmers and farm workers who have been impacted by the plant at Cranes Farm Road, whether in New Holland or as it was formerly known Ford.

The construction of a purpose-built tractor factory in Basildon began in 1962, and the first Ford tractors rolled off the production line on May 15, 1964. Today, the plant assembles T6 and T7 tractors for global markets.

New Holland has not yet released the total number of tractors produced at the plant to date, but at the 50th anniversary in 2014, the figure stood at 1.6 million.

The email address to contact with any memories is newhollandukroi@cnh.com
