With the festive season behind us the attention in the farm machinery world is now focussed on LAMMA, which will be held on 21 and 22 January at the East of England Showground. With more than 900 exhibitors, the event expects to play host to more than 40,000 visitors, and in the three-week build-up to the popular show we will provide regular updates on some of the expected tractor and machine highlights. Kicking off with Knight Farm Machinery, this company will show its latest Trailblazer trailed sprayers. Available in tank sizes from 3,600 to 6,000 litres and booms up to 36m wide, the sprung steering axle ensures the sprayer wheels follow the tractor, while the air suspension system reduces stresses for fast road travel. Simplifying and speeding up tank filling, the MAXImizer boom circulation system is now standard. Various advanced application control systems can be fitted, including Hypro Duo React twin-outlet nozzles and single nozzle switching instead of boom section control. ISObus control is also available. Knight will also bring the latest versions of its self-propelled sprayers to Peterborough, both of which are powered by Stage IV-compliant engines. With booms from 24 to 40m, 1800 Series machines are available with tanks up to 4,000 litres, while the 2000 Series is offered in tank sizes up to 6,000 litres. A Claas-designed and air-suspended cab is now standard, and the two sprayers are available with optional Category 4 cab filtration.
