Case IH dealer G Marshall Tractors has been appointed as a Krone UK dealer for the Scottish Borders and Lothians.
Based at Charlesfield Industrial Estate, St Boswells, Melrose, in Roxburghshire, G Marshall Tractors, which is run by the two directors of George Marshall and his son David, are as thrilled by the appointment as the rest of the staff.
“It is an exciting time for us,” said David. “We see it as a homecoming of sorts being that around 25 years ago my father was the Krone dealer for the area previous to the Krone importing partnership with Amazone in the UK.”

“Our sales, service and parts teams will be working hard over the next few months to get up to speed with the Krone product lineup not just so we can crack on and sell, but also so we can quickly provide existing Krone customers in the area with comprehensive support and advice service.”
The new dealer plans to have plenty of machines in stock and aim to run a demonstration fleet of all key Krone products. “We plan to offer the full product line up including the self-propelled Big X forage harvesters and Big M mower when the opportunity arises,” he continues. “With our experience in selling and supporting Case IH combines, we feel more than capable of handling these flagship products in conjunction with Krone UK.”

G. Marshall Tractors was formed in 1977 by George Marshall, who began repairing agricultural machinery in a shed on the family farm at Thornilaw, a mile from where the company is based today.
Over the years it has held the tractor franchise for Renault Agriculture, Claas and McCormick, and since 2014, when David joined the business, has been a Case IH dealer in the Scottish Borders. G. Marshall Tractors is also an Alpego, Bobcat, Can-Am, Joskin and Ovlac dealer.
