The new state-of-the-art paint shop in development at the Valtra plant in Suolahti, Finland, will not only cope with larger tractor frames, but provide the plant with more flexibility and increased capacity.

The largest investment at the facility in decades, the paint shop will be housed in a new 1,500m² building next to the assembly hall. Inside it will contain an automated washing and pre-treatment line with four robots taking care of the painting and drying processes.

Production at the Suolahti factory will continue as normal during the construction phase, which will start this summer. Further improving the factory’s energy efficiency, the new paint shop is expected to be up and running sometime Q3 2022.

Parent company AGCO has invested heavily in the Suolahti site over the last few years, the most recent result being a new 9,000m² (approx. 100,000m³) logistics centre.
