After making a side mounted mower-conditioner for several years, Keltec is now looking to enter the triple mower market. On show at The Ploughing is the rear butterfly unit which it has been trialling this season and an accompanying front-mower is on the drawing board.

Working width is 9.0m, but this can be scaled back to 8.6m to allow for an overlap. Comer is supplying the gearboxes and beds, the latter being the heavy-duty version with the shear pin protection.

Semi-swing steel conditioning tines can then pass the crop to the auger based grouper, an item Keltec is well-known for. In this format the 3,050kg rear unit carries a price tag of €50,000 but it will be available without the grouper and there is also mention of a non-conditioner model.
