The solar-powered rechargeable battery version of the Krone SmartConnect telemetry unit works without an external power source. The new unit can be used for all machines, regardless of manufacturer.
The SmartConnect unit has long been the basis for data management for Krone machines, such as Big X forage harvesters. The new SmartConnect Solar can also be used to integrate simpler machines, such as mowers, tedders, rakes and other implements without their own electronics, into a digital data management system.
With the aid of a position sensor, the solar-powered unit can also be used, for example, as a load counter, and when mounted on a rake, a sensor detects the working and transport position. When the working width of a machine is inputted, it can also be used as a hectare counter.
The solar-powered device complies with protection class IP69K, and is water, dust and dirt proof.
An integrated GPS receiver and a radio modem with multi-net SIM card are used to automatically send various position and status data (includes position, speed, active and inactive operating hours, distance travelled, working and transport position, number of loads/or the area worked and battery charge status) in real time to the mykrone.green portal.
A new feature is the connection of SmartConnect Solar to the Agrirouter, price of the new telemetry device (£POA) includes all mobile phone charges and portal use, as well as two mounting plates for attaching the module.
