The Doe Triple D style tractor, based on a pair of Ford New Holland 70 series, was the best viewed machinery news story this year on profi.co.uk. Fendt, John Deere, KRM, Massey Ferguson and Valtra stories were also popular and the Agbot autonomous rubber-tracked concept and Nexat gantry enjoyed plenty of interest.

Tractor stories account for eight of our top 12 list. These include John Deere’s expanded 6R range, New Holland’s HD cab upgrade and Valtra’s revamped N5 and T5.

However, these were all beaten by two Fendt stories. The first, and second best read story, was the seven-day stoppage of the assembly lines at the Marktoberdorf tractor plant in April due to a parts shortage. Fendt also occupies third spot with a January story on the lawnmower version of the 942 Vario.
