Turkish tractor manufacturer Tümosan previewed the 105hp flagship from the new four model 81 Evo series at the Konya agricultural show.

Described as one of the most important tractor launches in the Turkish manufacturer’s 50th anniversary year, the design team was clearly given the brief to break away from tradition during its development.

The hood styling on the 81 Evo series is radically different to all current Tümosan models and the combination of anthracite grey, black, and red paint is a first for the Turkish tractor maker. It is hinted that the exterior styling and colour scheme could eventually find its way to other ranges.

All four models; 81.75 (75hp), 81.85 (85hp), 81.95 (95hp) and 81.105 (110hp), share the same 3.9-litre four-cylinder Stage V common rail engine. Made in-house, the block is mated to the T100 Evo HD – a newly developed 30fx15r powershift.

With an interior volume of 1.9m³, the new 79d(B)A cab is said to take comfort standards to the next level. Inside is an air-suspended seat, a foldable and leather-upholstered passenger seat, fully digitalised instrument panel, and the hand throttle, hydraulics and differential are all controlled from electronic buttons on the driver’s right side. There are also USB ports, an opening sunroof and LED ceiling lights.

The transmission, front axle, and cab architecture were developed together with international partners, but the tractor will be manufactured at Tümosan sites in Konya. With a covered area of 93.000m², the plants can make 45,000 tractors and 75,000 engines a year.
