Registration figures for April show the UK tractor market is still improving. The latest stats from the AEA show 1,105 tractors over 50hp were registered last month bringing the total for the first four months of 2026 to 4,097 units. This is an increase of 27.5% on the same period in 2025. This is almost 800 more tractors being registered.

The AEA does issue a word of caution as most of these tractors would have been purchased prior to things kicking off in the Middle East which has spurred on increases in costs for farmers, namely in fertilsier and fuel. It remains to be seen how much of a squeeze this will put on farm and contractor finances and dampen the tractor market.
