The continuing impact of disruptions to global supply chains is still apparent in the number of agricultural tractors being registered in the UK, reports the AEA. The 938 new tractors registered in June was 36% lower than in the same month a year ago.

June 2021’s figure was unusually high but this year’s total is towards the bottom end of the range seen for the same month in recent years. The AEA reckons that the extended Bank Holiday weekend at the start of the month may have had some impact.

The total number of tractors registered in the UK during the first half of this year of 6,420 is 6.0% fewer than in the first six months of 2021, but still 6.0% above the five-year average.
