If you are looking for a high-capacity trailer that travels at speed on the road then the Krone KX could be of interest.
Comprising two lightweight aluminium models, the KX 650 (65m³) and KX 770 (77m³), both are the result of joint development between Krone’s commercial vehicle division and its Dutch subsidiary Knapen Trailers, which it acquired in 2019.
Joining the existing GX (44 and 52m³) and TX (46 and 56m³) silage and universal tractor towed ranges, the moving floor takes around 3.5 minutes to empty grass and maize silage. The KX can also carry grain, pallets, big bags, bales, and root crops. Cereals can also be unloaded via the grain pusher integrated in the tailgate.
The standard body cover is a roll tarpaulin. A hydraulically folding cover with net or waterproof PowerSheet (closes the top in just 30 seconds) is optional.
Initially only available via Krone dealers in Germany from next month (September), the KX will be arrive in other countries in the future. Prices have yet to be released.
