We said it was coming. And here it is. The Kramer 2706 telehandler replaces the 2506 model that we put through our practical test back in the 12/15 magazine.  What’s changed? It’s all about extra output. Gone is the 67hp Deutz motor, replaced by a Stage IIIB 75hp Kohler; and hydraulic performance is increased, too — up from 89 litres/min, 219 bar, to 110 litres/min, 240 bar. Loader stats on the new machine are as its name suggests — 2.7t max lift, 6.1m max height — as against the 2.5t/6.1m of its predecessor. Interestingly the 2706 can also be supplied with a ‘high cab’ option for those users with buildings where low roof heights aren’t an issue. The claimed benefit is that offside visibility is much improved over the standard cab machine. Price of the 2706 when it arrives in the UK is expected to be around £45,000.
