Supporting a more modern look, Keith Rennie Machinery’s latest flail mower offering comprises three new heavy-duty ranges; Grifus, Icon and Master Super.

With 40cm of hydraulic offset, the rear-mounted Grifus is available in working widths from 1.4m to 2.7m. The Icon (2.3m to 3m/60cm hydraulic offset) can be supplied with double headstock for front and rear mounting or a with single headstock for front or rear mounting.

Available for right or left mounting, the Master Super is a fully offset, rear-mounted mower, with cutting widths from 1.6m to 2.5m. KRM reckons the 1.78m offset comfortably puts the cutting head outboard of the tractor to make use of the full cutting head width and ensures the tractor remains well clear on firm land when working alongside ditches.

Increasing the height of the intake at the front and discharging shredded material behind the roller rather than in front of it improves the flow of material through all new models, which come with internal steel housed roller and rotor bearings and thicker steel frames.

Drive to the rotor is through a central gearbox with internal safety clutch and heavy-duty multi V-belt drive. Rotating at over 2250rpm, the 1.6kg hammer flails can be used for clean cut mowing of fine grass, but can also handle heavy scrub and woody stems up to 75mm diameter.

Retail prices start from £5,550, £7,430 and £11,320 for the Grifus, Icon and Master Super respectively.
