French manufacturer Steco-Ma has developed a self-propelled pea and bean harvester prototype.

Called the SP-220, we do not know too much about it, but the blue and grey prototype is powered by a Volvo Penta 480hp motor. The threshing drum contains just two moving parts (thresher and stripper). This is said to reduce the power requirement and provide easy adjustment. The large front tyres and mechanically driven rear axle is said to provide good traction in soft conditions.

Located behind the Claas X10 cab, the bunker has a 2.5t capacity and maximum unloading height of the discharge elevator is 4.0m. Steco-Ma says it is also developing other self-propelled machines.
