Bema Sweepers has updated its mounted range of Kommunal Dual municipal machines marketed in the UK by Howard Marshall Engineering. Attaching to tractors, forklifts, telehandlers, wheeled loaders and skid steers, the new models are the 580 and 450.

Replacing the 520 Dual and 600 Dual models, and available in six working widths ranging from 1.25m to 2.05m, the main brush of the 580 Dual (580mm diameter) is available in several materials, including steel/PPN, steel flat wire/PPN and a weed brush.

Available in three working widths; 1.25m, 1.4m or 1.55m, the 450 Dual, an upgraded version of the 400 Dual, has a new, wider 450mm diameter brush, and the 480mm diameter rotary side brush can be fitted to either the left or right-hand side of the machine. As with the main brush, the side brush can be specified as PPN, steel/PPN, steel flat wire/PPN, steel flat wire or a weed brush.

The main brush on both new models is claimed to be quick and easy to change, and all models are said to offer more collection container volume than the outgoing versions.

Established in 1940, all Bema sweepers are designed and manufactured in Germany. The first machines were brought to the UK in 1999.
