Here’s the message from the main man himself, Helmut Claas. “Pneumatic tyres first appeared on tractorsin the early 1930s. Now withtractor powers exceeding 400hp, tyres have reached their limit in bringing traction to the ground when on heavy cultivation work.” The 91-year-old entrepreneur has been the driving force behind the TerraTrac (TT) project, so it was no real surprise when he decided to put in a personal appearance at the first field trial of the new tracked Axion 960 TT.
