Before Fiat and Ford merged to become New Holland, Ford had already polished up its mid-range tractor act with the launch of the 40 series – models with much improved engines and better equipment levels. Now with 75,000 units out in the field, we return to a new Series 40 tractor and discover that it has matured in most areas – although, it can no longer claim to be at the cutting edge of technology.
