DRIVING IMPRESSION: Claas has updated its disc mower line-up, which now benefits from the firm’s Max Cut cutterbar. For our driving impression we elected to go for the Disco 9200C rear butterfly unit in top-of-the-range Business spec

The big changes for the Claas 2015 mowers can be found at the business end, with the introduction of a new Max Cut cutterbar. All hidden under fresh styling there are several other detail tweaks to the Disco family, as we now discover by taking a closer look at the 9200 rear-mounted butterfly unit.

The firm’s high capacity mowers are split in five different ranges, which do not differ that much in terms of hardware but rather their handling and operator comfort. So back to our driving impression machine, a Disco 9200C in Business specification. The latter has all the toys on it including comfort hydraulics, speed monitoring, hydraulic auto break-back etc. At the other end of the scale is the entry-level Trend unit, which shares the same hardware but fewer control features. Sitting in the middle of the line is the Contour.
