Up until now, operators had to manually activate the bale discharge function, which says the company, makes it difficult to deposit bales in perfect straight lines.

All the operator needs to do with the GPS-controlled bale drop-off system is drive around the field boundary recording up to five A-B lines along which bales will automatically be deposited.

Another important claimed benefit is increased safety in awkward patches and on the headland thanks to using exact positions in the field.

Launched at Agritechnica 2017, BaleCollect collects up to three 1.2m wide bales or up to five 80cm-wide bales.
