Active vibration damping for the discharge chute is one of several new functions for the Jaguar 1000 series forage harvesters.

Operating on the basis of an algorithm using data on the chute height (angle sensor) and vertical acceleration (gyroscope and pressure sensor on the lift cylinder), deviations from the setpoints are continuously compensated for by active counter-control via the lifting cylinder.

Crop stream is always precisely aligned with the point of impact in the trailer, says Claas, regardless of the harvester’s position. Other benefits include the possibility to work at faster forward speeds; the Auto Fill automatic trailer filling system is more accurate and reduced strain on the discharge chute and its mountings.

New options include the Cemos Auto Knife Condition assistance system to monitor blade sharpness. First introduced on the Jaguar 900, this is now also available on the four 1000 series models for 2027.

The system automatically monitors knife sharpness, and working to pre-set parameters, alerts the driver when the blades actually need sharpening, rather than doing it at fixed intervals. Blade wear information is stored in Claas Connect.

Yield mapping using the GPS Pilot Cemis 1200 is also new. Yield data, such as yield/ha, moisture content, dry matter yield or dry matter as a percentage, can be displayed live as a map and automatically stored.

When used as a mobile ISObus device on slurry application equipment from Garant-Kotte, Samson, Kaweko, Fliegl, Wienhoff and Zunhammer, the Nutrimeter now also measures nutrients such as total nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus and sulphur during the application of slurry and AD digestate.
