The latest John Deere 5M tractors are available with new transmission options and AutoTrac screen integrated in the dashboard. There is also a new top model: the 5130M (max. 135hp).
The new fifth model in range uses the same Stage V 4.5l four-pot PowerTech motor as the 5095M (100hp), 5105M (110hp) and 5120M (125hp). Maximum output of the 2.9l three-cylinder engine in the 5075M is 75hp.
The new PowrQuad Plus and Powr8 transmission (eight power-shiftable gears) options for all five models are said to provide continuous pulling power and smooth gear shifting for a wide range of tasks.
A button on the lever eliminates the need for manual clutching when shifting between groups, and EcoShift reduces engine speed to save fuel. The top speed of the tractors is 40km/hr.
Integrating AutoTrac screen in the dashboard to said to help minimise overlaps during field work. It is also possible to upgrade to the more sophisticated G5 universal display.
The turning radius is a tight 4.1m, and front loader operators will appreciate the low hood and large roof window. Expert Alerts is also new. This lets the operator know when maintenance is due.
