Krone’s agricultural machinery division contributed €698.1 million of total Krone Group turnover of €2.24 billion for the 2018/2019 financial year.

An 8.9% increase over the previous year, Germany, the company’s strongest agricultural machinery market, accounted for 28.0% of sales (previously 29.5%). The rest was divided between western Europe (35.6%), eastern Europe (8.9%), North America (15.8%) and all other countries (11.7%).

Managing partner Bernard Krone of the Krone Holding is delighted with the company’s 2018/2019 (August 1, 2018 to July 31, 2019) performance. “The economy was challenged by the overall political situation and developments such as Brexit and the trade dispute between the US and China,” he said.

He added that several regions were once again plagued by difficult weather – prolonged periods of drought or heavy rainfall. “In view of these challenges, we are very grateful that many customers decided to invest Krone farm machines, trailers or axles.”

Krone continued to systematically expand its product lines and give facelifts to existing models. Key products in the previous financial year were the new VariPack and Comprima Plus round balers, Swadro TC 1370, and new mowers, including the EasyCut F400CV with folding cutterbar.
