DRIVING IMPRESSION: Two Rogators, a trailed 300 and a self-propelled 600, featured in profi driving impressions a while ago, and for this season they will both benefit from a selection of updates … beyond the blindingly obvious change in colour from yellow to green
Original European-spec Rogators were made in The Netherlands under the Challenger banner. Now, though, a re-think at AGCO sees production shifted to Germany and a change into Fendt livery — yet the Rogator name stays. In itself, that’s no big deal. But Fendt being Fendt, a move opened the way to updates; so from 2019, both the trailed and self-propelled versions benefit from several changes. Some are small but helpful operator-pleasers; others are more fundamental.
Induction hopper inlet valve: This switches from manual operation to electric power as an option. Safety gets a leg-up in consequence, as the operator no longer has to bend over the hopper to use it.
