Applying fertiliser on a fragmented farm is often a two-man operation. It certainly was for Josef Holz, with his tractor and spreader having to be accompanied by a tractor loader and trailer to keep the broadcaster topped up and in the field. After a bit of brainstorming, he came up with the featured trailed hopper system, which has halved the labour and machinery required for his application work.
